Floris Arntzenius

(Surabaya, Indonesië 1864-1925 Den Haag)

Floris Arntzenius a Dutch painter, drawer and etcher who visited the Fine Arts Academies in Amsterdam and Antwerp (B). Lived and worked in The Hague since 1892 and made beachviews, portraits, interiors with figures and cityviews. In themes, style and use of colours his works are similar to that of the Amsterdam Impressionists as George Hendrik Breitner and Isaac Israëls. Received several rewards and medals. Works of Arntzenius can be found in Haags Gemeentemuseum.
