Kees Bol

(Oegstgeest 1916-2009 Heusden)

 

Kees Bol painted landscapes, portraits and still lifes. His oeuvre is characterized by an expressive style, in which form and color are in harmony. His career as an artist started in 1944, when he first received drawing lessons from Jan Heesters in Schijndel. Followed by a study at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. His work has been regularly exhibited in the Van Abbemuseum in Eindhoven, the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, De Lakenhal in Leiden and the Noordbrabants Museum in 's-Hertogenbosch.
