Victor Abeloos

(Sint-Gillis 1881-1965 Brussel)

De Belgische kunstenaar Victor Abeloos studeerde aan de Academie van Brussel. Kreeg les van de Belgische schilders Isidore Verheyden (1846-1905) and André Edmond Alfred Cluysenaar (1872-1939). Hij schilderde voornamelijk landschappen, stillevens en allegorische taferelen. De realistische stijl waarmee hij zijn landschappen creeërde laten zijn belangstelling voor het luminisme zien.

The Belgian painter Victor Abloos studied at the Academy of Brussels. Got lessons from the Belgian painters Isidore Verheyden (1846-1905) and André Edmond Alfred Cluysenaar (1872-1939). He mainly painted landscapes, still lifes and allegorical scenes. The realistic style with which he created his landscapes shows his interest in Luminism.
